In Spain abounds in Catalonia, Aragon and Valencia, especially in mountainous Mediterranean vegetation. It is found in the crevices of the limestone, which has given rise to its name. Also used in the Spanish Pyrenees, particularly to combat pulmonary catarrh. This plant, by the fact that, as noted, very aromatic, the desiccated loses much of its perfume. Possesses, anticatarrhal, stomachic, antispasmodic, digestive, diuretic. Indicated in cases of pulmonary catarrh, indigestion, abdominal pain, digestion. It also presents a tonic, free of irritating effects on the nervous system, like coffee or tea, as it contains no caffeine or caffeine.
