Nerone rice originated in China, and has a black color. According to Chinese tradition, this rice also called forbidden rice was cultivated only for consumption by the emperor and his court.
Following the Eastern tradition, this rice was considered to have high nutritional qualities and ran aphrodisiac power. Chinese tradition was not going too far out weighing the properties of rice Nerone. Currently known analytically the components of this rice variety has black and really well suited to active mantain good health.
It is short-grain rice. Cooking time is between 40-50 minutes, after which the rice will get a nice purple, aromatic, slightly sweet and nutty. The texture is crisp and tender.
